Awesome, Fab, Stupendous.... and Even Funnier!

Y'all are unbelievable!!!!

My heart is so full of gratitude; I have so many thank-you's to say, and over the next few days  you will undoubtedly grow weary of hearing them.    But this morning I have to share something very funny with you.

You may recall that back in March, I posted the following....

By the by, we may have one surprise visitor....   last fall I called "William L. Glasscock" in Oklahoma; he gave me his physical and email addresses and I sent him the "green envelop."    This week I got a note from him and his wife:

Sheila, this sounds like fun!  but we have to confess, we've never heard of Menard H.S.!  My husband, Bill Glasscock, is a 1969 graduate of Washita Heights H.S. in Corn, Oklahoma.  Must be the wrong Bill Glasscock that you found.  We were tempted to send in our money and crash your party and have everyone wonder who the heck we were...    Anyway, we hope you find the Bill Glasscock you are looking for, and that you have a great reunion!
                                                                                                         Bill and Dana Glasscock

Don't they sound like fun?   I think I'm gonna ask 'em to come as my guests!

Well, with George Tullier's help, we did locate "the real Bill Glasscock,"  but the story doesn't end there.

When I arrived at my home in Baton Rouge this morning there was a FedEx package on the front doorstep and I couldn't imagine what it might be...   no idea what I might have ordered and forgotten.   Well, it was a late gift to all of you from 'the "other" Glasscocks!!!'  They sent two pounds of cocktail peanuts, two pounds of hot and spicy and a smaller package of peanut brittle and this note....

Sheila & the Class of '69---
Have a wonderful time at your reunion!  It was so nice to be invited, even if it was inadvertantly!! :)  It was tempting, but what with a trip to NYC this summer, & a trip in March to celebrate our 40th (yikes!) anniversary, we just couldn't swing it.  Will be thinking of you  - have a great time!
